The Reconciliation Act of 2025, signed on July 4th, introduces new Medicaid work requirements. States must verify at application and renewal that Affordable Care Act (ACA) expansion group members meet these requirements. Adults under 65 who do not qualify for exemptions must show they complete at least 80 hours per month in work, education, or volunteer activities.
